TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
EFRODIEN DIOL is low molecular weight liquid polybutadiene, having two functional hydroxyl groups at one macromolecule of the polymer and 1,2-vinyl more than 20 %. Technical data of the product are shown in the table:

Due to the high content of double bonds and low molecular weight the Efrodien Diol retains mobility at low ambient temperatures. The product does not mix with water and alcohols, and is soluble in non-polar organic solvents, oils, and bitumen. It exhibits reactivity both for double bonds contained in the main polymer chain and for hydroxyl groups.
The product is widely used as a hydroxyl-containing component of polyurethane systems. It is used in the production of adhesives, polyurethane coatings, sealants, thermoplastic injection-molded urethane elastomers, as a binding agent for elastomers, for increasing the hydrolytic stability of polyurethanes.
